I always start my New Year's resolutions on January 2. I feel like the 1st is still a holiday so I always give myself one more day. That being said, today I woke up early and exercised. Got the kids ready for the day and off to school. At that point I was ready to begin working on my first New Year's resolution. I like to choose resolutions that I know I can stick with. Every year I resolve to clean all of the closets in the house and get things organized. It really is a great way to start the year plus if I work on it the first few days of the year I feel like I accomplished my resolution and I can check it off the list. (now don't ask me to show you my closet come October I said clean I did not say maintain!) Anyway, today I thought I would organize my jewelery and then tackle my bedroom closest. Unfortunately, we live in a house built in the 60's and they thought closet space was not as important as we seem to think so today. So I have a very tight closet. I mean tight tight!!! I spent a few hours this morning going through clothes making donation piles and getting it all organized. I have attached pictures so you can see how I did.
Since I was cleaning and organizing I went for a comfy look. My husband said I look like a grandma today but I think it's cute! You will learn fast I am a die hard Tennessee Fan. Today I am wearing my Tennessee button down I got from the University bookstore a few years back. A green cardigan from TJ Maxx, and Style & Co Jeans from Macy's. I paired them with what I call my Tennessee Tory Burch gym shoes. The orange and camouflage are the perfect combination for a Tennessee girl at heart! Anyway, this outfit was super easy to throw on this morning and was the perfect getup for starting my resolutions. I hope you are all having as much fun starting yours!
XOXO, Tiffany
