Pre-Blog Kick Off

Since Playground Pretty is not officially going "live" until January 1st I felt like I needed to at least start taking pictures of my everyday outfits starting Christmas Eve.  Now some of these outfits are a little more dressy then what I would normally wear to the playground; but it's the holidays so a mama must look hot!

Christmas Eve outfit Black Boots and Shirt from Gabriel Brothers.  Green Lace Skirt from Target and red scarf from Slave Market in Charleston South Carolina.

Christmas Day outfit red pants from Target black silver shirt from Stein Mart a few years ago.  You can checkout a similar one here.  Black shoes also from Target.

Our First "big" snow in Cincinnati the day after Christmas.  Pink Hunter boots, grey leggings from Charlotte Russe, black long sleeve shirt and sweater from Gabriel Brothers, and scarf from The Gap.  Similar one here .

Second Snowy Day in Cincinnati.  I am thinking that my pink Hunter Boots might become a uniform this winter!  I paired them with a brown pair of leggings from Gabe's (Gabriel Brothers) Striped cardigan from Target and a black long sleeve from Gabe's.  Just to mix up some patterns I tied on a "borrowed" silk scarf from my mom.  And the cutest accessorise of all... little Rosie!

This day I am dressed up to go to dinner with my in-laws from SC.  No it's not what you are thinking I was not wearing animal print to blend in nor was I going into a war zone.  I just thought it was a fun somewhat casual skirt that was an alternative to jeans!  We had a great night of good food and great conversation.   Anyway, the black bow heels are from H&M.  They are a few years old but here is a simular pair here.   I wear them all the time and they are super comfy.  The skirt is Target from their Converse line.  The long sleeve tee is from the Gap.  My necklace is actually three that I layered.  The black and white ones are old from Target and the blue one is from The Grand Ole Opry Hotel in Nashville.  You never know where you will find a great accessory!

It is going to be a very snowy winter!  We got another 3 inches last night.  And I was meeting a friend for breakfast so the Hunter boots it was again!  I paired them with a pair of Skinny Jeans from Seven and a cream shirt that was a few years old from H&M.  You can get a similar one here.  I am rocking one of my favorite accessories my gold Owl from Gabes. You can find a similar one here

It was a cold snow on the ground Sunday Church day.  So even though I wanted to wear my $7.50 dress I just got from Old Navy (Sale in store) I had to pair it with some boots from Gabes to keep me warm.  You can also buy them on sale from dELiA*S.  The necklace is from Charlotte Russe.  I have been eyeing the bubble one from J.Crew but come on I have 4 kids to feed and dress I can't afford an accessory like that!  So when I found this blue one on Black Friday I was super excited and even more with the price tag of 12 bucks!  So yes today my necklace was more then my dress but was still a look for less!

New Years Eve morning...  We were going to breakfast as a family.  And since I am one of those people that has to wear new clothes as soon as they buy them I felt the need to wear my new mustard color shirt from Target with my new blue shoes ($8.00 in stores now!)I also picked up on Sunday.  I paired them with a pair of jeans and I thought I was ready to go.  But as you can tell in the first picture I was feeling a little muffin topish and since I knew I was getting ready to go eat my last unhealthy pre new year diet I needed to let me belly expand.  So I threw on this jacket from Stein Mart and put on the purple belt that came with a purple skirt for a pop of color and I was ready to chow down some pancakes without anyone knowing my gut was hanging out!

New Years Eve night we always have a party for all of our friends who have kids.  It is a great time to ring in the new year with people you love without having to find a babysitter!  It's always a great time.  Even though we were just staying in I wanted to have fun and dress up.  I am wearing a skirt from Target, black shirt from Old Navy.  I wanted to keep the accesories low becasue I really wanted the skirt to steal the show!  I wonder if I will find a chance to get to wear that fun skirt again?
