That's What Friends Are For!

Today I started my new job at the American Heart Association as Youth Marketing Director.  I really feel like this job is going to be an amazing opportunity for me.  And I never would have known about this position without this blog or my friend Hannah!  She read on the blog that I was looking for a new job and she looked within her company and saw that AHA was hiring!  I think that it is an amazing story!  Everything really does happen for a reason!  I am so blessed to have an amazing friend like her and excited to be working for the same company!

Anyway,  for my first day of work I went with my new salmon pencil skirt from Target,  a black long sleeve shirt from Gabes, a black and white short sleeved blazer from Clothes Mentor that I again got for $1.00!!!  I wore black heels from Gabes and a chunky necklace that I got in Nashville Tennessee. I felt put together and ready to take on the day!

A Little Backed Up!

Yes I am a little backed up!  No it's not what you think...  I have not posted in 2 days!  Things are crazy here as I prepare for an event that I am on the commitee of.  The event is called A Day For Today's Women.  It's a fun day where women gather with girlfriends, eat, shop, go to breakout sessions, listen to a key note speaker, and finish the day with a fashion show!  I have been charged with making all of the workshop signs as well as the large banner for over the stage.  So between my normal week I have been working on these 2 tasks.  Hence the back up!

Last Week of the Comfy Look...

Yes you read that right! This is my last week of jeans and leggings.  I got a job!  I will go into details soon on another blog.  But in the mean time I will be enjoying my last week of jeans and leggings! 

Today I have on my Style & Company boot cut jeans, a yellow light sweater from Old Navy, and a leopard print scarf that I "borrowed" from my mom.  I finished the look off with my leopard and tan Sperry's.

Church, soccer, and running... My typical Sunday now a days.  I am wearing my black and white pin stripe pants from Macy's, a black long sleeve short from Old Navy, my gold owl from Gabes,  and a old pair of black an white heels from TJ Maxx.  I love these heels because they are so classic looking.  I am pretty sure the are 11 years old!  My mom bought them for me when I was in college.  Do you have and clothes that have withstood the test of time?  XOXO,  Tiffany

Today I am wearing  grey leggings from Charlotte Russe, a white tank that I have no idea where it is from, a navy and purple striped cardigan from Old Navy, my pink Hunter boots, and my purple and pink printed scarf from the Gap.  Anyone else seeing how I mix and match clothes to come up with different outfits?  Take a look in your closest and see what you can do with the pieces of clothes you have.  You don't always have to wear the same shirt with the same pants! This really helps me stretch my clothes to go much further! : )  XOXO, Tiffany

Mama's Boy

My son turned 7 today!  Hold back the tears... where did the time go?  So between the well check up, birthday party, and candle blowing we had a fun crazy day!  I wore my skinny Seven Jeans, a plaid button down from Lands End, a red scarf from the market in Charleston, and finished the look with my Uggs to keep me warm.  And as you can see in the picture my best accessory is is getting pretty big!  XOXO, Tiffany

Happy Valentines Day!  Even though we don't celebrate this holiday as a romantic couple like we used to I still love it.  My kids get so excited about their parties at school and all of their valentines they get from their classmates. 

Today to stay in the Valentine mood I am wearing a little dress from Target that is navy with heats all over it.  I put a long sleeved red shirt under it from Gabes.  Paired it with Navy tights and brown shoes from Target and I was set to celebrate!

Now yesterday was a crazy day...  And even though I got my outfit of the day on FB I did not get a chance to blog about it.  The hot pink dress is from Old Navy.  The scarf was a gift from a friend from the Gap.  The pattern on the scarf has the same hot pink as my dress!  I wore it with black tights and my trusty Tory Burch!

Mustard My New Fav

I am loving the color Mustard lately.  Pair it with navy and you can do no wrong in my eyes.  Today I am wearing a Mustard sweater dress from Target (I styled the same dress but different in January).  Navy tights from target and a pair of brown heeled wedges also from Target.  Are we seeing a trend?  I fancied it up with a metallic scarf that I got about 9 years ago from you guessed it Target!  Are there days when you wear a particular store from head to toe? Obviously Target was the store of choice for me today!             XOXO, Tiffany

Kind of a Hot Mess!

Although I liked my outfit today I looked like a hot mess by the time I took this picture.  I am not really not sure why or what happened to me but whoa!  Today I am wearing my uniform of black leggings.  A pink t- shirt from H&M.  A black and white plaid shirt from Snooty Fox that is a LizClaiborne New York.   I added a pop of color with a green scarf that I received as a gift.

Crazy Busy Day!

It has been a crazy busy day.  I feel like I say that all the time but today was!  The day started with church school, church, lunch, soccer, then getting 2 of my girls ready for the father daughter dance.  To tackle my day I am wearing a pink and white Ralph Lauren button down, a black pencil skirt from Target, some fishnet tights from Gabes, and a pair of black heels also from Gabes.  I am tying it all together with a bubble necklace for some extra color.  I felt cute but comfortable enough to take on my busy day.  I am including some pictures of my cute girls all dressed up for the dance too.  XOXO, Tiffany

Lazy Saturday

Since Hannah had some Friends over and spend the night after the father daughter dance yesterday I was ready for a lazy day.  It's amazing how little sleep these girls need to keep going.  So today after everyone left I was ready to relax.  I wore my black leggings from Gabes, a black and white polka dot shirt from Clothes Mentor (that I got for 1 dollar). A pink cardigan that I have had since college, and my Tory Burch flats.  A total comfy outfit for napping and just hanging out around the house.  How I love days like that!  XOXO, Tiffany

Clothes Remix

Today is a clothes remix.  I have worn all of these pieces but not all together.  I have on my Old Navy black leggings and black long sleeve shirt, a red patterned scarf from the market in Charleston, and a green cardigan that I got from TJ Maxx.  I belted the cardigan and scarf for a different more polished look.  All things I have worn but not together!  Makes for a comfy easy outfit!  XOXO, Tiffany

Hot Red/Orange Shoes

I have been eyeing these red/orange shoes with a silver toe from Target for months.  I first spotted them in November and fell in love.  Yet those who know me know I would never pay full price for anything so I waited.  I waited 3 months to be exact for them to go on sale 70% off.  I got them for around $12!  SCORE!  I wore them today with a pair of jeans from Target and a shirt from TJ Maxx that happened to have the same hot red/orange colors in it.  I guess it really does pay to be wait!  XOXO, Tiffany

Interview Look of the Day

I had my third interview at a company today.  I was very excited to meet with them again and wanted to look my best.  Unfortunately I woke up with a migraine!  UGH!  There were actually times during the interview that I felt like I was going to puke because my head hurt so bad.  But I faked it til I made it and smiled through.  And it must have paid off because a half an hour after I left the office I received an email saying they would like to proceed to the next stage of the interview process! 
Anyway, as many as you know I posted some suggested looks for this interview and the black suit won out.  I wore that today with a red blouse from Banana Republic and black heels.  You will also notice I am sporting my new black glasses that I just got for real cheap at Walmart.  I am normally a contact girl but I thought my contacts would make me look professional today and I actually took my contacts out to add that accessory!  My eyes need a break from my contacts for a while becasue I have been wearing my contacts like crazy ever since my glasses broke in early January.
Does anyone else like to wear their glasses as an accesory?  XOXO, Tiffany

Dress Shirt?

A couple of weeks ago I got a Target dress 70% off and for only $4.50!  It was an online item only that someone must have returned to the store.  I could not pass it up.  I decided to wear it today and originally thought I would wear it with navy tights. That was until I tried it on...  Now as a disclaimer I am almost 5'10 so maybe it's me the she-man but the "dress" was super short.  So I paired it with black leggings and turned it into more a shirt then a dress.  I think the look turned out pretty cute!  I love the ruffle at the bottom of the shirt too.  And like I said at that price it was a deal!

A Sunny Look

Go Red

Go Red for Women wear red campaign is today.  I am a big supporter of this program.  Not only is Heart Disease the number one killer in women it has effected my family a bunch.  My mom's dad died when she was 12 of a heart attack.  My dad's mom died of a heart attack when he was in his early 20's.  My dad had a heart attack when I was in college.  He suffers from high blood pressure and cholesterol still today.  Almost all of my cousins on my paternal side are on some sort of heart medicine.  This disease really affects a lot of us!  Check out this video to help give you some signs of a heart attack.

A Jeans Kind of Day

It is just bitter cold out.  I am not sure if feels so cold because it has been so warm or if really is just that cold.  To help stay warm I put on my Target Jeans, Target ox blood long sleeve, and a patterned cord blazer.  I finished the look with my new pair of Target wedge heels.  Maybe I should have called this post "A Target Kind of Day"?  XOXO, Tiffany

Sunday when I was out and about I ran into a newer consignment store in my area of town called Clothes Mentor.  I left with a shirt and a new pair of heels and only spent 15 bucks!  Wait it gets better...  I got a pair of Tory Burch strappy leather heels for 12 bucks and a new shirt for 2!!  I died!  I love to shop at consignment stores I always find awesome things and I feel like I won't see it on every person around town.  Plus I get to expand my closet without paying full price.  Today I have on my new $2 shirt.  Check it out what do you think?  XOXO, Tiffany

Interview Look

Today I had an in-person interview with the American Heart Association.  I was really excited to get the chance to learn more about the opportunity and to see if I would be a good fit for them.  I wanted to make sure that my first impression would be a good one so I wore my black skirt suit a crisp white button down from Express and black heels from H&M.  Since it was the Heart Association I felt like I needed to have a little splash of red so I tied a sash around my waste as a belt.  I felt like I looked very professional and was ready to take on the world! Do you have a go to professional outfit?

Seeing Spots

Sunday is always a busy day for out family.  There is always church, church school, brunch with friends, and soccer.  Lately like I said before little Miss Hannah has been going to birthday parties and today was no different.  I was running all over the place once again.  I wanted to try something out a little different for my clothes...  I wore my black, white, and tan polka dot skirt from Gabes, and my new black and tan polka dot shirt also from Gabes.  I thought I would try mixing the two polka dots together to see how it would go.  I got a lot of complements about it.  People thought that it was one dress or sold together.  So I chalk it up to a success.  Oh and I am wearing my black solid shirt under my polka dot shirt today too.  Just to kick off the week of my favorite shirts examples.  It really is amazing how often a good solid black shirt comes in handy!  Can't wait to show you what I have planned for the rest of the week!  XOXO, Tiffany

Last day of Leggings

Today is the last day for my black leggings.  And I am actually happy to be finished with the week of leggings.  I am not sure if it's because I have been wearing the same style of pants for 2 weeks in a row or if I am just ready to change things up.  But I am ready to be done!  I think this week I am going to show how to I style my black shirt and a solid color shirt.
 Anyway, today I have on my Old Navy black leggings and thick cardigan, a target solid green shirt, and my pink Hunters since we still have some snow on the ground.  We are going to dinner tonight for my mom's birthday so I saved my hair wash for later today so I put my hair in a high bun and wrapped a scarf around my head to add a little and to cover up the dirt! We have just been running errands and went to brunch.  Totally a day that I could have warn yoga pants and a t shirt.  I was just as comfy in my outfit and I felt put together.  With seriously the same amount of effort!   XOXO, Tiffany

Today is a snowy day in Cincinnati.  I don't think we are getting more then an inch or two but it sure is coming down.
This weekend my sister gave me a scarf that someone gave her.  She said she never wore it because she thought it looked a little "trashy"  love that she gave it to me!  I took it as a challenge!!!  I have on my leggings from the Gap, a black long sleeve shirt from the Gap, and pink cardigan that is about 12 years old so I have no idea where I got it.  My pink Hunter boots and the camouflage scarf my sister gave me.  I thought with the pink in my outfit it would make the print look more girly and less "trashy"  What do you think?  XOXO, Tiffany

Well it's day 5 of the leggings.  And I can say I am ready for a break of wearing the same pants!  Luckily I have a few pairs of black leggings so I am not doing laundry as much as I was last week. I am wearing my black leggings from Old Navy, my black Tory Burch flats, a black long sleeve shirt also from Old Navy, and a blue, green, white, and black patterned loose shirt from The Rack.  I got the shirt this past summer because the colors matched my kids swim team suits perfect.  This is the first time I have worn it this winter.  I think with the long sleeve it made it work perfect.  I feel dressy without any effort!  XOXO, Tiffany

Leggings Day 4

Today I wanted to look a little more put together since I have a meeting tonight.  I am wearing a pink and peach polka dot shirt from Stein Mart, a black and white flowered blazer from Target over the shirt,cinched with a black skinny belt.  And my Black leggings from Gabes.  I paired it all with a pair of blue shoes to make the outfit pop.  One tip about leggings, go for a thick material that is like a stretch pant.  That way you can wear them with a short top.  If you wear a thinner legging it will be see through and only work with a dress or skirt.  Even a long shirt is risking it a bit with a thinner material.  The pair I Have on today are almost a sweater material.  Warm and definitely not see through!  XOXO, Tiffany

Baby It's Cold Outside

Baby it's cold outside!  I think the high today is 18 degrees.  That is just some craziness!  In order to keep warm I tossed fashion aside a bit and I am snuggling up in a super old tan knit sweater that has a cow neck.  I think it is from Macy's but it is so old.  I have on my black Old Navy Leggings, a pair of black, gray, and brown over the knee socks from Gabes, and my Uggs.  I actually feel warm in this outfit!  I hope you stay Warm!  XOXO, Tiffany

 

Cold and Comfy

This is supposed to be a super cold week in Cincinnati.  And I have a head cold like everyone else!  So today's look  is my interpretation of sweats and gymshoes.  I have on my Black Leggings (these are from Gabes), a blue and red flannel that is Lands End that I got from Snooty Fox for $3.50!  A red scarf from Charleston, my husbands high school red soccer socks and my Ugg boots.  I am very warm and feel comfy enough to craw back in bed to feel better.  But cute enough to go to Kroger and not feel sloppy or not put together!  I hope you are all nice and warm...  It's getting colder tomorrow!  YIKES!

Day One- Leggings

Today is the first day of my week of styling black leggings.  Since it is Sunday and church day I wanted to dress them up.  Yes you can dress leggings up!  I wore my black leggings, a grey dress from Target that I wore a week ago as a skirt.  (see below)  I finished the look with a pair of black heeled boots.  I felt pretty comfy in this outfit and felt dressy enough for church.  And I am pretty sure no one had a clue I had on leggings instead of tights!  Can't wait to show you all the looks this week!  XOXO, Tiffany

Last Day of Skinny Jeans

Today is the last day of my skinny jean look.  My husband is defiantly ready to see me in something different.  I have on my Seven skinny jeans with a black turtleneck from Target, my Tory Burch bronze flats, my owl necklace from Gabes, and a red scarf that has my monogram on it that was a gift from my sister.  Again like always I was comfy but felt like I looked cute!  And it really took no effort! Tomorrow starts the black leggings looks. Enjoy your Saturday!  XOXO, Tiffany
