The official kick off date for Playground Pretty! I am very excited to start this journey of blogging each day and capturing inexpensive outfits that are mom and kid friendly! I can't wait to share my ideas on how I "put myself together" each day that is effortless! Fashion has always been one of my passions. My college friends and sorority sisters can back me up when I say I would dress up for class each day while my classmates were going to class in their pjs. I feel like if you look your best you not only are showing your kids that you care about yourself but you feel better about yourself and can be the best mom, wife, teacher, taxi, housekeeper, chef, friend, you are meant to be!
Since this is the first official post I felt like I had a lot of pressure to make my outfit look extra cute. But I must have forgot that New Year's Eve was the night before because trust me when I say I was feeling not so hot this morning. But under the weather or not I am still a mom of 4 that had to get everyone dressed and out the door by 11:00 so we could go to New Year's Day Mass. I wanted to still dress a little flashy since after all it's New Year's but since I was not myself this morning I needed to be comfy. I put on a pair of black leggings from Old Navy, a sparkly gold shirt from Jones of New York that I got from Snooty Fox (one of my favorite consignment stores) and my trusty Tory Burch Flats. I paired the shirt with a silver belt from Charlotte Russe and a pair of silver hoops. Now some people do not like to mix gold and silver but I think if done right it can really make the outfit shine! Either way we made it out the door and started our New Year right!
